Linas Jegelevičius "Naked in front of you", extract

Beyond billions of light-years there shone lighter and darker cosmic farms, somewhere in the immense space the stars have glinted, and those in the depths, dull and hard to distinguish with the naked eye, may have been the dying dwarfs. They faded away with every billion years, and then right next to, in this vast space, with a mysterious touch - accidentally?! - the entire new star chandeliers were born. Most surprising, is that in this seems chaotic glistening topsyturvy, dominated - accidentally?! - such perfect order, that I being surprised, sprawling here on the cold sand and sobbing to the vastness of space, held my breath. I could have never stopped wondering at the majesty of the universe and the mysterious, incomprehensible, but with great love and precision marked action of its subtle bandleader, when like with a wave of his magic wand, the day changed the night, the farms was shining and melting, the black holes devoured the dying stars, but it absolutely didn't disturb the incredibly accurate clock of the universe.Someone invisible would wind it up with love and responsibility. Human knowledge in thousands of years has increased exponentially, though in the scale of the clock of the universe, a man has appeared just a few minutes ago and he had already managed to understand not only how to strike fire from flint - he trawled the planet through the length and breadth and he is still climbing even higher - deeper in it...

"Fawns" with chocolate filling

Ingredients:

  • 400 grams of wheat flour
  • 100 grams of unsalted butter
  • 100 grams of brown sugar
  • 150 grams of liquid honey
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder "Santa Maria"

Filling:

  • 100 grams of whipped cream
  • 200 grams of milk and dark chocolate
  • 15 small red round sweets

Cooking time:

Pour flour in a wide and deep bowl. Grate butter and put it into flour, pour the beaten egg with the sugar, add honey backing powder and knead everything.
Keep the dough in the fridge for one hour.
From the dough separate one small piece of dough and form a small ball. Flatten the ball and fold the edges to get a small bowl. Prepare about 10-15 these type of bags. From the rest of the dough make small horns of fawns: connect the thin strips of the dough.
Put the biscuits in a baking pan lined with parchment and bake it about 10-15 minutes 180° oven.
Then pour melted chocolate in each bag, spray a small ball of whipping cream, put sweet as the nose and "insert" the horns. Draw eyes for fawn.

Enjoy it!

My cat.

My cat is sad.
No one else in this family is a cat.
We are all human except for him.
He is excluded from most things.
And no one tells him why.
He just wants to play.
And be loved.
He looks at us with wonder.
And disappointment.
He says hello I am a cat what is my existence.
What is that / why it and not me / please can you look at me /
And love me too.
Can I have some of your food please I'm sorry I don't like my food so much.
Do you want to play with my toys? This one is my favourite.
Do you like me?
Are we brothers?
Why didn't I grow up?
Why am I so small?
Can you help me be happy?
Where are you going?
